I was thinking about this today that it is impossible to see if some spells are working right because the value of their abilities do not show on a stat page. So I would like to suggest that we come up with some in-game debugger screens that can check the values of things.
Debug Stats:
Should show a stat page listing the hidden values that spells and items effect like:
Crits, Dodge, ACC, Maxdamage, Illu, ProtEvil, Protgood, Stealth, Fear? and at the bottom show you a list of spells that are currently active via spell name and number
This should be backed up with a command to clear active spells on self so things like spells can easily be double checked.
The other thing that would be really use full would be a way to show your current location: like
Command: Debug location
Responds your Current: Map #, Room #
Command: Debug location <direction>
Responds from your current room the Directions location: Map #, Room #
