pathetic hang bugging

theres not much i can do about this since deathcow is a sysop. this is the symptoms of the hang bug. 

lets say you're in a room full of animated books, knights, dreadplane walkers, etc. and you need to get out but you don't want them to follow. you simply input a direction and then hang up before the movement goes off. then you re enter, and you instantly move into the next room (where there could be more enemies, so you have to repeat)

This bug has a profound impact on the game.

It allows people to do alot of things they couldn't in regular MajorMUD.   Escape problematic situations, stack rooms for PvP, accomplish quests or navigate through areas where you would most certainly die, etc..

I don't understand why it would be so hard to fix?  Obviously there is some coding done when a player enters the realm on GreaterMUD, as it gives you an entrance message.

Why not put a delay somewhere in this coding?  Or perhaps the entrance message could trigger a spell cast similar to a dark monks "knockdown" where you are 'exhausted' until the end of the next round.  I personally think the 1 round exhaustion would be beneficial especially for PvP/hangup purposes.

I would imagine this is about a 15-30 minute fix.
