Ya I don't know to much of the DnD system so it just sounded kinda odd to me.. It wouldn't be bad though to get two attack abilities out of it that could maybe be given over a period of levels. Fury Attack would be a kind of cool name for it though if you wanted to keep it as an any weapon ability..

IIRC, cleave in D&D is a follow-through attack if you kill a monster with damage to spare. would have to look it up to be sure, but that's the general idea - only if you kill something.

Yes clearly I'm making a text porn.  Lesuire Suit Mud.

The idea in DND is that you actually chop right on through and  hit the next guy....

oh man..i really wanna have huge epic battle with thousands of monsters and stuff...wouldnt that be uber. oo

ZLemur

You should incorperate critical failures too ;)

Would be great to see a monster end up executing itself with a crit. failure with too few hps left. Or even drop their weapon or something. See what I'm gettin' at here? should this be it's own thread?

Critical failures..lol..That something I always loved..there was one game that used 3d6 for skill rolls, so you had a 1/256 chance of complete failure everytime

I'm sorry you failed your walking roll.. hehe.

The Crazy Animal

I always liked the botch system from whitewolf.

what was white wolf?  was it d10 and 10 count as 2's and 1 counts as -1..

The Crazy Animal

White wolf was d10 and 1s counted as -1 success and 0 counted as extra roll + success or just success depending on the gm

The actual rule of 10 in Whitewolf Modern is if you have a specialization in the skill, all 10's are counted as successes and can be rerolled. If you dont have the specialization, then its just a success.

In the Dark Ages series, its a GM choice.

Ahh the joys of running two Whitewolf muds.

The Crazy Animal

I thought it was always GM choice but its been 10 years since I've played so I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.

Some times I miss dice bowling :)
