I think telnet requests might be forwarded properly if they originate from outside my LAN, but I don't have a way to test.  Anyone?

Once a noob, always a noob I spose.

Good news is we got port forwarding to work on our new router.  Unfortunately, that doesn't solve our sticky IP issue.  With a few more days of studying the science of routing I should be able to build a solution using a twig and a stick of chewing gum.

My connection just dies every now and then it could be fine for a half day and then the next half I get knocked off every hr or so. Its strange though because it will look like its still connected untill I hit enter then it informs me the connection has been lost. Each time it happens I get the ghosted message too.
